About Us

Since 1975, Kidyzone English Medium School has been one of Kolkata's most trusted names in early childhood education — offering affordable, play-based Nursery to Kindergarten programs without compromising on quality.

Our History

Kidyzone began in 1975 with just six students — and a big idea. Late Dipti Tripathi, former Principal of Bethune College, and Late Dr. Sarala Ghosh, a respected social worker, believed that Kolkata's youngest children deserved a place built entirely around how they learn best. That idea became Kidyzone, and its guiding motto has never changed: Education through Love.

Within two years, the school had outgrown its first home. In 1977, Kidyzone moved to new premises with swings, slides, see-saws, and space to play. As demand from parents grew, two more classrooms followed in 1981 and 1982. Five decades later, those roots run deep — and Kidyzone remains a name Kolkata families pass down from one generation to the next.

We teach in English, with dedicated attention to Hindi and Bengali, so children build a strong foundation in the language of instruction while staying connected to their mother tongue.

Mission & Values

Our mission is simple: give young children a nurturing, stimulating environment where they can become confident, lifelong learners. We know a child's earliest years shape everything that follows — so we take that responsibility seriously, every single day.

Infographic titled 'Six values guide everything we do,' presenting six principles: Excellence, Creativity, Collaboration, Respect, Safety, Diversity. Each principle has a brief description in red text inside a rounded rectangular box.

Kidyzone is proudly not-for-profit and community-governed. That means our decisions are guided by what's best for children and families — not by shareholders or profit targets. It's a big part of why we can keep quality high and fees within reach.
